Having completed the road maintenance, novice alchemist Sylvia visits the town's adventurer's guild to introduce herself and meets the guild master, Irene. Sylvia quickly becomes friends with Irene, who considers Sylvia's mother her benefactor, but then bad news arrives. "Emergency! A collapse has occurred in the western mine!" Sylvia heads out with Irene to "rescue" people.
