"Senpai, I have something I need to talk to you about." A junior colleague, "Aki Kaminaga," brings a love-related problem to "Aoba Hane," who, putting her own issues aside, throws herself into helping Aki connect with her crush, "Atsuto Sugaie." Aoba herself is at a stage where she’s deciding whether or not to marry her long-time boyfriend. Recently, she’s been feeling the monotony of their relationship and is occasionally bothered by messages from other women to her boyfriend. Hiding her growing dissatisfaction, Aoba arranges a night out at an izakaya with Aki and Atsuto, intending to help them get closer. However, Aoba ends up drinking too much and passes out. When she comes to, the sight that greets her is her own room bathed in morning light and Atsuto lying next to her, stark naked. Feeling awkward and trying to mask it with anger, Aoba commands Atsuto to forget what happened, but he refuses, insisting that it was an expression of his admiration and feelings for her. Overwhelmed by self-loathing and determined to set things straight, Aoba arranges a meeting in a conference room, intending to clear the air once and for all.
